Do I need fancy equipment?
No. Most of our educators film on their phone with natural light. Clear audio and a steady shot matter more than a fancy camera.
How do I get paid?
Through Stripe, the payment platform behind millions of businesses. You connect your bank account once; after a sale clears its refund window, your share is transferred automatically.
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. There's no monthly fee and no setup cost. Maevi takes 20% of each sale. If you don't sell, you don't pay.
Who sets the price?
You do. You know what your knowledge is worth. Most classes on Maevi sell between $49 and $149.
What if I've never taught before?
Perfect, that's who we built this for. Start with the one technique people always ask you about. One class, a handful of short lessons. We review your application personally and we're here to help.
What if my class goes out of date?
Update it or retire it. You can re-film any lesson, and students keep watching the old video until the new one is ready. Or retire the class from sale and publish a new version: nobody new can buy the old one, the students who already paid keep it, and they get a link to your update. They're the people most likely to buy it.
Can students steal my videos?
Your videos are protected: streams are locked to signed-in buyers with expiring access tokens, and there's no download button. It's the same protection used by major streaming platforms.
